چکیده
Increasing pollution has significantly threatened the Antarctic ecosystem. The contamination of hydrocarbons drawn a considerable amount attention owing to their toxicity, recalcitrance, and persistence. Considering Treaty, only indigenous species are allowed bioremediate contaminated environment. However, knowledge ecological role, physiology, function, genomics endemic hydrocarbon consumers is still limited. Here, we investigated dynamics phenanthrene-consuming communities derived from soil found that Variovorax, Rhodocyclaceae, Hydrogenophaga were differentiated in all subcultures. We isolated pure culture key consumer Variovorax sp. strain N23. Moreover, result polyphasic approach suggested N23 represents novel genus Variovorax. In addition, genomic characteristics this revealed incomplete degradation pathways for diverse hydrocarbons. Overall, study reveals relatively weak hydrocarbon-degrading potential bacteria suggests need more careful protection

Draft Genome Sequence of the Aromatic Hydrocarbon-Degrading Bacterium Sphingobium sp. Strain Ant17, Isolated from Antarctic Soil
Here, we present the draft genome sequence of Sphingobium sp. strain Ant17, an aromatic hydrocarbon-degrading bacterium that was isolated from Antarctic oil-contaminated soil. An analysis of this genome can lead to insights into the mechanisms of xenobiotic degradation processes at low temperatures and potentially aid in bioremediation applications.
متن کاملDegradation of Hydrocarbons and Lignin-like compounds by Alcaligenes sp. strain 3k isolated from Ilorin
The primary goal of this study was to isolate hydrocarbon-degrading organisms and assess their ability to bioremediate petroleum-contaminated soil and water. Nigeria is one of the major oil producing countries and petroleum contamination is widespread in agricultural soil. Alcaligenes sp. strain 3k was isolated from a kerosene-polluted soil in Ilorin, Nigeria. We also assessed its ability to de...

We report here the 3,637,012-bp draft genome sequence of Microbacterium sp. strain LEMMJ01, isolated from ornithogenic soil from King George Island, Antarctica. The total number of genes presented in the draft genome sequence was 3,553, and the total number of coding sequences was 3,497. In addition, genes related to the production of terpene and carotenoids were revealed.
